A live
demonstration
report

Over the past years the RQ-35 Heidrun UAS has captured attention across military circles for its advanced capabilities and reconnaissance support at company or platoon level. In this article, we will take a closer look at a recent demonstration in Poland at the WITU training ground in Zielonka.

The feedback from the participants was clear: Attending a live demonstration gives invaluable insights into the operational dynamics and efficiency, as you can witness firsthand how the drone enhances situational awareness and enables effective decision-making. Additionally, a live demo provides insights into its adaptability in real-world scenarios like electronic warfare.

A first-hand experience unlike reading any article

By experiencing the capabilities in a live setting, you will gain a deeper understanding of the drone’s potential to make a difference in military operations. Witnessing the drone in action allows participants to try its practical applications and understand its potential impact in modern warfare.

The live demo serves as a platform to explore the drone's features, such as its ease of use, adaptability, and resilience in challenging environments. With a flight time of up to 150 minutes and a range of up to 45 kilometers, the drone offers extended operational capabilities

“Drones will be part of future warfare for sure. It is crucial to have situational awareness, know where the enemy is in order to be able to survive and accomplish your mission. So, on the lower tactical level, knowing what is behind the next hill, what is across this forest is extremely important”

Colonel J. Jespersen,
Defence Attache, Danish embassy, Warsaw.

Focus on the missions. Not the drone.

One of the perhaps most surprising facts you will see at a live demo is how the compact design and lightweight construction makes easy deployment and transport possible. This makes the UAS the ideal choice for small reconnaissance units operating near the frontline.

The RQ-35 Heidrun can be operated by a single operator, carried in a single bag and flown by a single person. The design allows for quick deployment and operation, enabling units to respond swiftly to evolving tactical situations. Its intuitive control system, operated via a single tablet, eliminates the need for specialized equipment, making it accessible to operators with varying levels of experience.

The drone's adaptability is further enhanced by its fail-safe mechanisms, which ensure mission continuity even in challenging scenarios. In the event of communication loss or low battery, the RQ-35 Heidrun can automatically return to its operator's position, ensuring the safety of the equipment and the success of the mission. And should the need arise, the drone has also been designed for easy servicing and repairs directly in the field, minimizing downtime in critical missions. This makes the RQ-35 Heidrun an ideal choice for remote and high-demand environments where adaptability is a key parameter.

BCombat-proven in Ukraine, some of our drones have completed over 500 missions with minimal losses, demonstrating exceptional stealth and durability. Because of its ability to operate in GNSS-denied environments and withstand electronic warfare interference the resilience on the battlefield, coupled with its ability to transfer real-time data, will provide you with a significant and competitive advantage.

Does it sound almost too simple or too good to be true? We are always happy to demonstrate how the RQ-35 Heidrun can help you adapt to changing conditions, collect and share critical information and secure constant performance on the battlefield.
