Auriga can easily be found next to the constellations of Perseus. It has one extremely bright 0.1 magnitude, giant, yellow star: Capella (alpha Aurigae). Auriga is nearly circumpolar and can been seen in the northern hemisphere almost every night. Auriga represents a chariot driver who has apparently lost his chariot. He does have a goat and Capella is supposed the little goat being carried in the charioteer's arms. Although many cultures recognize Auriga, there is little agreement about who the figure really is.
