SkyTour - Aquarius - The Water Carrier

Solar Eclipse Delphinus

I felt obliged to include Aquarius in SkyTour because it's part of the zodiac. Unfortunately it is also very dim and its brightest stars have a magnitude of only three. Despite this, you can easily find where Aquarius is located with the help of Pegasus. Draw a diagonal line from one corner of Pegasus' great square (the one attached to Andromeda) diagonally to the opposite corner. If you extend this line to twice its original length, it will reach into the area of Aquarius. Once you are there, you can try to pick out some of Aquarius' stars. I wish you the best of luck.

Aquarius has been associated with various figures throughout history such as John The Baptist and Moses. The Greeks claimed that Aquarius was Ganymede who was the water carrier to the gods.
