The following photographs of a large group Sun Spot Group 30 were taken by Keith Geary of Ireland and are shown here with his kind permission. Enjoy them, but please remember that he still holds their copyright. Keith used a 4" Celestron Refractor and a 40mm Plossl lens giving a magnification of 50x, and a barlow lens giving 100x. He also used Wratten blue and yellow filters.
Sun Spot Group 30 stretches from end to end 15 times the diameter of the Earth.
