Within Virgo and a small constellation Coma Bernices (Bernice's Hair) can be found over a dozen dim galaxies. M89 is one of them. You will need a telescope to see its details. Its edges gradually fade into the dark background and it has a bright central core. If you enjoy the galaxies and have a telescope, this is one of the most rewarding areas of the sky.
